Why one behaves like this! (E O M - 13)

Swami Vijnananand provided guidance to the teenagers through series of discourses on various subjects. In one such

series of discourses he talked about the behavioral aspects. Our mind is expressed through the behavior. “Why one

behaves in certain way” and “How should one behave in proper way” were the subjects covered. While dealing with

the human behavior, he related its origin to the process of evolution of mind. His views expressed in informal language

are summarized as follows:

While we were thinking of ‘why do we behave like this?’ we explored various areas and said that we behave in that

manner because of our anatomy (the science dealing with the structure of animals and plants).

Human beings haven’t been born all of a sudden on the Earth. This progress is happening over a long period of time. Right

from that of the smallest particles which were created in the world, from the time the world came into existence the

progress took place in minute steps.

Where is the root of a child’s existence?

If you take this link into consideration, you would realize that the stream of evolution that is flowing over thousands of

millions of years, is responsible for our behavior and also for child's existence.

How did evolution take place? how did it happen? How human beings came into existence? Let us try to explore with some

l
ogical thinking.

Newton has told how a stone behaves. But how does a human behave? That was told by Darwin. So remember, Darwin

is Newton of Biology.

Newton made mistakes, Darwin also made mistakes.

what was the difference between Darwin and Lamarck?

It was that Lamarck unified Anthropology and Evolutionism. Darwin separated them

The contribution of Lamarck was also quite huge. Now, many people have begun agreeing with Lamarck’s views. We are

gradually getting more proofs supporting Lamarck even today, but still, there are more supporters on Darwin’s views.

We (New way philosophy)) are saying that the truth is even beyond this.

It won’t be sufficient to study merely Neurology and Physiology. As we are of the opinion that we should study psychology

too! While understanding the evolution process, we also have to bear in mind that the scientists of that era and many

scientists today have accepted Darwin, between Darwin and Lamarck.

Darwin held the opinion that , “Human being makes effort. He struggles while doing efforts and if he succeeds in those

efforts, nature appreciates the success. Nature favors him (the human being). Favor meaning, it becomes gracious and

there is a chance of changes taking place in his body. And then those changes can reflect in his descendants.”

As per Darwin, first the human being has a desire, then he makes efforts for fulfilling the same. After this efforts, if the

nature accepts it and if that effect is stable, then it enters into the descendants, in the children. It means human beings

have achieved permanent progress.

If it is so, then why the children of great people aren’t great?

Our conclusion should be that Darwin’s theorem is not sufficiently pervasive.

If the only rule in the nature is that you gain strength while thrashing others, and you live, expand your community and

develop further, and if only this much is written as the motive of the nature, you should say ‘ Go! close all the schools

down  and start gymnasiums.’ Everyone is well-nourished and hence so strong

Everyone with a big tummy, with both hands placed on it. “Come here and I will thrash you.” But effect of it will only be

that everyone will be so swollen, so huge! How much will you swell? …Many time we have stated that comfort will eat you

up. Nature cannot have such a rule. (Rule which says “might is right”)

Why did Dinosaurs die? They died because of comfort; they died due to eating too much. The situation came when no

competition was left. Hence, if you restrict the meaning of ‘might is right’ as relating only to physical power, then it won’t

be correct. We should gather another proof. That is, it will be realized that the world is not sustaining merely by “Might is

Right”, nor has the world grown further by merely attacking others The species which came afterward haven’t grown by

merely killing each other; they have grown by helping each other as well.

Symbiosis: What does Symbiosis mean?

When crocodile wants to eat flesh, the pieces of the flesh are stuck in its teeth. The birds fly down from the trees. This

crocodile opens its jaw wide & sits in the sun, its mouth wide open. Then these birds come and they pick food from its

teeth. Now, the crocodile can easily eat up a number of birds by merely closing the jaw. But the crocodile doesn’t eat

them. Why so? It certainly knows that someone is helping him. There we come across symbiosis. Hence ‘might is right’

does not apply there.

Here the so called mighty one is tortured by that mere piece of flesh. Hence we state that the cooperation &

surrendering  are also the two methods of evolution. It is called as symbiosis. That means the phenomenon of helping

each other.

If you want to build the life afresh, if you want to give new meaning to life, then you should be studying scientifically while

applying logic and appropriate tools. Only then you would be able to do something different. Remember, it is

not  sufficient to know how the world is. You should also understand how to change the world.

Almost all of the scientists accept Darwin’s principle of evolution from one perspective; maximum of them, not all of them,

but most of them. But again there are so many proofs against Darwinism.

Still Darwin is generally considered as a great man. Even critics call him a great man. There is a minority which considers

him to be an utter crook. So if you leave out that, we have to consider with a calm mind and should say that he was great.

He conducted deep study. He studied in detail. We have to accept him. When Darwin died, a woman in his neighborhood

had said: “This Darwin was not believing in God lately. Yet, he was such a nice person by nature that God will pardon him

after his death.”

He provided a new direction to the world. That went wrong. That’s fine; you correct it. But until the point that he took the

effort and made you say ‘His direction is wrong’ at least, he made you undertake a new study -- be thankful to him for this

at least!

You ought to be thankful to Darwin. It doesn’t mean that ‘whatever Darwin does is correct’. No, not because ‘Darwin says

so!’.

Natural selection functioned in combination with qualitatively new social-economic factors but its importance grew less as

the role of the latter increased.”

It means that the principle of natural selection, meaning ‘might is right’ was there at the beginning of the world, but it

changed later.

Who changed it? He has given an answer for the same below. He said, it was changed by human beings who came later. A

community was created by humans. He has stated that many a times it is apparent that humans changed the nature.

Columbus discovered America. Then the natural selection ceased to remain a natural selection. Then what happened?

Mixed breeds of humans were created, hybrid races were produced. A few new sprouts were added to the human race

But my question is simple. You will get only contradictions. Why so? because you deny (the existence) of mind.

See what Darwin has stated “ But I was continually struck with surprise how closely the three natives on board H.M.S.

Beagle, who had lived some years in England and could talk a little English, resembled us in disposition and in most of our

mental faculties.” He says that the races or the communities weren’t produced unequally. Then what has happened? Then

races…meaning African is dumb, black. And who is this European? He is fair, tall, huge, mighty, very strong. Then the

differences are actually apparent, but this author says that it isn’t correct ($). See the interesting argument. An African

mentioned was short, small, evil, stupid, and the European was big, huge by physique; he was mighty. So don’t say that he

is different. Why so? Then he has stated that, on our ship called ‘Beagle’, the person of a (so called) lower race, that is of

African race, stayed for three years, he slowly started to look like us. He started to behave like us. And he started to speak

English like us. Isn’t it right? Then you take his principle for consideration. This means Darwin has waged a war against

Darwin (himself)

($). Reference : This was the book by Popular Publications for ‘Steps in Biology’ Standard 12th. By Prof. Apsangikar, Dr.

Dhage and Dr. Golatkar

Even Darwin himself has given several examples in his original book that, this can be changed in one lifetime, and now

several new proofs are coming to light that in one lifetime itself, meaning within a short span, few generations, few years,

this wonder can happen.

Darwin has made an interesting statement. “When discussing the expression of emotions, of spiritual experiences by

means of the face muscles, Darwin came to the conclusion that there is an amazing similarity in this respect among

representatives of different races.” Remember this. Now could an atheist have a spiritual experience? And again the word

mental faculties’ is used. So ‘mind’ has to come. You will realize the same thing here as well.

See how that interesting word has appeared here. Whose wish is it? Nature has chosen the mighty.

Who is mighty? The one who won the fight. He had a wish ‘I want to be powerful’ isn’t it? It is right. The wishes

originate from mind, don’t they? It is correct. Now the question arises that if this wish is of mind, then whether he

became ‘mighty’ for being capable of the desire or because he was chosen by the nature? Tell me who gets the credit?

See what a big confusion he has created! The human being accumulated power with efforts, did he get the status of

mighty’ because of the consistency of efforts or because of being chosen by the nature? And if because of power, meaning

if he had earned this status of ‘mighty’ because of the unwavering efforts, then the choice of nature has no consequence.

Who is nature to choose that? Tell me in certain terms what it is. Are you getting what I am trying to say?

Well, you have to draw only one conclusion:

  • the mind is beyond this brain and body
  • it is the one which has desires.
  • As long as it keeps doing justice to its task, it will keep on winning until that point.

Real Evolution is here. The balance between power and peace, even the feeling of helping each other, has helped to gain

victory in the nature.

The second example is important. ‘Dedication’

Balanced dedication is needed. To convince a wise person to come round on your side, to surrender to him, to bow down

to him – this is what is meant by Samarpan (Dedication), Sama plus Arpana means to dedicate to the wiser so that he and I

can come together. If you cannot do it yourself, then bring the person who has been successful in this, on your side.

So the word ‘might’ doesn’t mean only the physical power but the sturdiness of mind, steadfastness of

intellect, ability to surrender, each of these factors or their appropriate mix. Evolution has taken place as a

result of these attributes. It is not sufficient to describe evolution merely as ‘might is right’.

WHY WE BEHAVE LIKE THIS? (E O M -12)

Swami Vijnananand provided guidance to the teenagers through series of discourses on various subjects. In one such series of discourses he talked about the behavioral aspects. Our mind is expressed through the behavior. “Why one behaves in certain way” and “How should one behave in proper way” were the subjects covered. While dealing with the human behavior, he related its origin to the process of evolution of mind. His views expressed in informal language are summarized as follows:

‘Evolutionism’ is a very fundamental subject. Before understanding that subject, first of all let’s understand how the subject of evolutionism is taught in text-books, in schools and colleges. Thereby further description will be simpler for us. This is the book of 12th standard in India. This is the book by Popular Publications for ‘Steps in Biology’.

“To state in the words of Darwin, evolution is descent with modification.”

The earlier sentence is like this, “In other words, all organisms are descended from the preexisting and simple ancestors”. That means all these creatures of the world…the complex human beings, were created from very simple creatures created in the beginning. This evolution has started from a single cell and then the various layers were created. But what was there before the arrival of the existence of the single cell? There was a virus. A virus must have been originated from some state existed earlier. So while going like this, where did it originate from?

So they have told in simpler terms – ‘Organic Evolution’. It means that non-matter is created from the matter. In short, all of the living beings are created from the lifeless matter. Their simple theorem is that this living being is created from the matter in the inanimate stage. If you consider this, then you can put forth a very simple equation, thereafter.

They are of the opinion that the living beings were created by the adjustments and modifications.
It is correct that the development happened slowly, one step after another. But whose basic desire was it to develop?

The believers in Energy (Life) are of the opinion that, it is energy which is important. That got stuck to the body, stuck to the matter, stuck to the inanimate objects; this world is created from both of them together. Some people who say that living being was created from the lifeless objects. Well, that’s OK,, but how did this happen?’ Then they are not able to tell. It means they are not able to explain it.

“ The doctrine of organic evolution has now been universally accepted. There is, however, no consensus of opinion amongst biologists as regards its modus operandi.

There was previrus before virus, there was retro – virus. Earlier than that there were coaservate drops, while counting back from 100 we arrived at one (1). We agree to it. But why don’t you tell us as to how did one(1) originate? You cannot tell us, about that? Did it come from zero? You are not able to give an answer as to where one (1) originated from. And that is why we are going to the roots and saying that we are proving (the existence of) energy’.

Talking only in terms of ‘New Way philosophy’, we have told earlier that you define the matter. After you have defined matter, we have demonstrated to you that there is something beyond the matter. That which transcends the velocity of light is called as non-matter. The one which cannot exceed the velocity of light is the matter, meaning the inanimate object as you have called it, which is right. We have demonstrated to you that there is something that can go beyond the velocity of light.

We have to accept a simple theorem that the Chetana (energy) has constructed the nature while taking the help of jada (matter). You will say, what will happen if we don’t accept it? – You will be caught in a trap.

We have seen in the last lesson that Lamarck’s theorem was proven wrong. The other theorem that was proven wrong was that of Darwin.

Limitations to Darwinism are given in this book under reference on page 53 -54. They have told that there are five aspects which are against Darwin’s theorem. They have mentioned these five points as ‘objections to Darwinism’

What was the reason for the nature to select? They cannot figure out that cause. It means they are not able to find the fundamental cause.

Who had the need at that time to suddenly transform the non – living matter into living beings? What kind of need arose for which the nature has done all this? What was its motive? They are unable to explain this by any means. And that is where the evolution or evolutionism falls short, becomes weak.

Generally even I (S. V.) accept the evolutionism to that extent. I accept evolution steps(11 to 100). Not only this, I am ready to accept it from (1) to (10). It is logically correct. We do accept that evolution has taken shape very slowly. But basically why life was created in the first place?

We agree with the fact you described about the way evolution happened from 11 to 100 very well. We are ready to accept it from 1 to 10 as well.

"Hence we put forth the theorem of velocity of light there; and we oppose the evolutionists of materialistic orientation. We politely tell them ‘Give us an answer; we are ready to go back’. But none has given any answer to this yet".

Why we behave like this? (E O M -11)

We shall see the views expressed by Swami Vijnananand when he guided the young seekers of Manashakti in 1990 on the desired direction of the research needed to find the truth behind the process of evolution. The book in Marathi “Apan ase ka vagato” (Why we behave like this?) gives his message. Here are some excerpts from chapter 4 of this book.

We have fear and anger engraved.

Why  fear and anger are engraved in human mind? How are they related to evolution? basically, why should we have a desire to have this body? In the course of evolution, we came to this stage (human body) after wearing a variety of bodies (starting from amoeba to chimpanzee) in the past. We progressed to the human body by the route of evolution.

Sex is the original emotion. But fear and anger are a part of human nature…Unless they were having a contribution in the evolution, fear and anger would have never come trekking along with the living being. They survived only because they were basically needed…Even rage is a tool of evolution.

How is rage related for the survival of the fittest? The one who was mighty, survived. Nature itself has the rule - might is right. Then to be powerful than others, rage is required. We started to get revolutionized because of fear.

What is evolution? The transformation which took place in the living organisms is evolution. Darwin has stated that the meeting with Nature approval is proved by fight. The minute scripts or the portions of evolution should be understood well. They should be studied in deep.

Desire (according to the nature leads to)  Efforts (with fear/anger which leads to)  Victory or Defeat – this is the way the chain of development takes shape. So-called evolution is depending on human desire.

In that chain, we used fear and anger as protective armors in the beginning. But they become harmful later as other feelings and shades of nature got mixed in.

I will tell you, how anger got associated with evolution. The perspective in evolution being ‘survival of the fittest’, human beings had to struggle for living. This meant that they had to fight. In fear and anger, in both the places a fight - latent and evident- was the only difference...

There is basically a paradox (in life). It is there in laughter and tears, in fear and anger, in functionary and sensory organs, and in the inborn nature and in the one born out of experience… Though all of these are getting integrated, still, if you try to find the root of all this, you will have to go to evolution only. If you try to explore the minutest seed, then as your forms of mind went on playing with matter in the course of evolution, as you went on taking one incarnation after another – you will find the root of that manifestation of your nature, hidden somewhere in evolution. If that would be found in evolution, then the question that you will have in mind is, - has that been proved so far?

We shall try to establish that link.

As you are all the time surrounded by some emotion, you are using motion at every moment – you either utilize it in the right manner or the wrong one. If utilized properly, then it gives good results in the material form at least. We call that as progress. When it has an ill effect we call that as downfall. But do the effects of this motion linger on in our personality, our body, our mind? You will have a question whether such a process really exists in reality. Then yes, there is indeed such a process.

It has not only happened in the present stage of the evolution but you have accumulated various experiences in your entire journey of evolution. Utilizing these experiences cumulatively, you were born. It is a truth that your nature was carved out of this. At the same time to prove this truth, you have to prove one more truth -- that, such a process exists in your life, it is in your anatomy, and we will have to arrive at it again. This way the thread which leads us to evolution will be woven correctly, joining the contemporary with the past history.

Comments: The process of epigenetics says that the behavior at any moment in the life is the cumulative effect of nature and nurture. The process starts at the stage of conception but even the period of preconception can't be ruled out. S. V. states that the process started from the moment life started on the earth when mind got associated with matter. The desire to associate of course is the property of mind.

Psychical evolution the basis of Physiological evolution (E O M - 10)

Physiological evolution only along with psychical evolution says Swami Vijnananand.

We have been reviewing the Evolution and the role of Mind in it.
Since each of us is a product in the process of evolution the knowledge of the process is important for everybody. Conventional science is still holding a materialistic view and as such many phenomena in the nature turn into riddles. The role of psyche in the form of energy has not been acknowledged by the scientists. The materialistic view that Mind is the expression of brain seems still to be prevailing with majority. We have also seen that many present scientists are echoing the views Swami Vijnananand (S. V.) propounded in his books on New way Philosophy written before 50 years. The blogs earlier related to mind dwell adequately on S. V. views on Mind.
The summary of the information in the earlier blogs related to Swamiji's views on evolution is reproduced for the ready reference of the readers.

BLOG25: Evolution of mind.

Excerpts from book: WHAT MIND MEANS (Author Swami Vijnananand, Manashakti publication).

The evolution theory will be able to explain many unanswered questions if the ‘evolution of the mind’ is properly understood and appreciated as written by S. V. in this book as well as other books related to the “New Way Philosophy”.

Mind in the elementary/original (primordial) form may have embraced matter

First step of evolution/Single cell organism can learn

Organisms have always kept up pace with the developed mind, the size of the brain and so with intelligence.

Physiological evolution only along with psychical evolution.

At each landmark of development manifestation (materialization) of mind varies in degree, but at no stage can it be forced back to total obviation.

Since Darwin’s thesis is stated exclusively in terms of physiological evolution forcibly divided or disconnected from psychical evolution by his own discretion, sounds in-compatible or unsuitable. The evidence provides latter (psychical evolution) as the cause of the former(physiological evolution). The theory of continuity of mind throughout the evolution renders the matter more easy and understandable.

The present theory of evolution (Darwin Theory) pathetically fails to unriddle the gap between the two species.

Mind alone can be considered to be accountable for the acquired characters during these various intervals.

Psych and not material brain (in the head cover) is personality or individuality.

EXCERPTS FROM BLOG 31 and 38

Though the ‘CELL’ was the first life on the earth, the logical preforms of life would be the COASERVATE and VIRUS.

Once a single cell life came in to being, the desire to exist and exist with comfort led to the formation of multycell lives. The same desire continues in the process of further evolution till the advanced species of human evolved.

Mind enters into conversation with the body through ‘emotions’. Then the next question is at what stage emotions entered into living organism? Here one reaches to the origin of life on earth which is the first link between the mind (non-matter) and the body (matter).

Book MIND POWER tries to trace the journey of life from matter to the first cell and then from multi-cells to the evolution up to the advent of human being emphasizing the role played by the ‘desire’ which is the exclusive property of the ‘mind’.

The talk of establishing equality itself gives ‘Non-material’ nature of mind credence.

We saw earlier that the starting point of life was Coaservate drops. Those coaservate drops alone were capable of existence, which possessed a certain dynamic stability and synthetic speeds exceeding or at least balancing the speed of break down. Contrariwise, those drops in which chemical changes in the given environmental conditions were directed primarily at break down were doomed, or did not originate at all. The unfortunate forms, that were destroyed, seem to have again rejoined the fortunate or better organized drops, which cannot be without reservation or without inherent desire to take revenge.

The entity that seeks pleasure which is denied to it gets displeasure. This entity for the lust of pleasure, though submits to the source of pleasure, must have retained dislike and must harbor attitude of revenge. This is very logical conclusion relating to the birth of chain revenge.

It had taken roots at the very first stage and the same tendency has followed up to date.

The physical evolution and psycho evolution cannot be bifurcated.

True, the reality of the revenge is unpalatable (not easily) acceptable. It is a bitter pill to swallow.

Darwin unearthed the revenge cycle behind the apparent symbiosis.

With the progress of living ( resulting evolution) the revenge cycle is also progressing in its complexities. S.V. has given the description of this revenge cycle at each stage from the origin of life i.e. from coaservate to virus to cell to multi-cell lives up to human being.

Body cells have paid the cost of easy life by demanding more safety in the protected multi cellular organism.

Pleasure is the motive, jealous inequality is the mode, cyclic defeats and revenge is the terminating end of each cycle.

The revenge cycle includes not only open enemies but also so called friends and relations ultimately turn into ghost of revenge, often in the pretext of affection. The feelings of envy, jealousy prevailing in the human mind is the expressed as well as dormant instinct of the desire of possible revenge.

Symbiosis means living together in cooperation. But if observed in Nature, such examples are few.

Greek history, Bible history, Arabian records, Persian records, Indian mythology and whole world history down to this age breathe destruction and revenge.

The author (S. V.) says that we are at pain to point out this picture.

Some people profess that world is full of peace. They speak either partial truth, convenient truth, or truth with reference to certain context. Such people paint the picture of world as it should be and not as it is.

We (the author) are underlining the reality and since correct diagnosis will cure corroding melodies. As it stands therefore, the revenge complex is the real menace (dangerous harm).

'Inequalities of mind’ started the first mystery, and equality is the relieving solution.

Laws of Motion are universal. In Biology, they may become abstract, but they would not be absent.

To fight the ghostly cycle of revenge, the arms of knowledge are the pacifying tools.

The New way philosophy based tailor designed various programs conducted by Manashakti Research Center (web site manashakti.org), Lonavala, India, throughout the year extend these arms of knowledge to the willing participants.

Notion of random evolution. (E O M - 9)

Myth Conception 4:

(Ref. Book – Excerpts from Spontaneous Evolution, Authors: Bruce H. Lipton and Steve Bhaerman)

As repeatedly propagated by Swami Vijnananand, we have been mentioning in these blogs the role of mind and the importance and inevitability of mind's role for inclusion in the scope of science. Such opinions are echoed by a few scientists and thinkers in the 21st century. This blog also covers this topic.

Jean-Baptiste de Lamarck born in 1744, for the first time published the theory of evolution in three volumes based on his ten years research. Lamarck’s idea about evolution and nature’s impulse toward perfection gained prominence in France. Lamarck suggested that evolution was the result of organisms acquiring and passing on environment-induced adaptations needed to sustain their survival in ever-changing world.

Unfortunately for Lamarck, his ideas about evolutionary progress being part of the course of nature had social implications. If nature could progress, then it was natural for lower classes of humanity to progress as well. So when the French revolution failed and King Louis XVIII restored the monarchy, Lamarck found himself out of favor with the church and ruling class. For some reasons his academic rival Baron Cuvier purposefully distorted and misquoted Lamarck’s work on evolution. Cuvier’s assessment of Lamarck and his ideas has ever since been (1832) cited as the document that justifies portraying Lamarck as buffoon (joker/ fool).

Ironically more than 175 years after Lamarck’s death (in 1829) science is finding that evolutionary intention may be a lot closer to the truth than Lamarck ever imagined. But between then and now other scientists also managed to push Lamarck and his ideas further into background. The Darwin evolution theory (survival of the fittest) was considered appropriate and acceptable.

The experimental science of genetics was officially launched in 1910. Later Thomas Hunt Morgan and in 1943 researchers Salvador Luria and Max Delbruck appeared to prove once for all that mutation was purely random event. Later up to 1988 many experiments confirming these findings led science to adapt the assumption that all mutations were random events.

Based upon these observations science adapted the seemingly iron-clad tenet: when mutation occur they are purely random and unpredictable events and have nothing to do with any need the organism might have at present or in the future.

Because evolution appeared to be driven solely by mutations, science concluded that randomly drawn evolution has no purpose. The idea fit wel with the scientific materialism’s belief in purely materialistic Universe and helped shift the focus from intentional creation to merely “throw of genetic dice.” A human being is just another among the “accidental tourist” who materialized in the biosphere through random act of heredity.

However in 1988, promonant geneticist John Cairns challanged sciences's established belief in random evolution.Cairns novel research on " The Origin of Mutants" was published in the presigious British journal Nature.

Cairns referred to this newly discovered mechanism as directed mutation. But the concept of environmental stimuli feeding back into an organism and direct a rewritting of genetic information was strongy disliked by the dogma of the conventional science.

Both Nature and the Amrican journal Science publised editorials raging against Cairn's findings. This was a clear indication that the white-coated prists of scientific materialism were ready to burn Cairns at the stake.

Over the next decade other researchers replicated Cairn's results. As a result, leading genetic researchers softened directed mutation to adaptive mutation and the relegated to beneficial mutation.

Cairn's work and subsequent studies introduced the realities that organism not only adapts to an environment but that they intentionally change their genetics to enhance the adaptation of future generation. In other words, science is coming to realize that evolution is not simply an accident as per Darwinian theory but a coordinated Lamarckian dance between an organism and its environment, a dynamic process in which organisms can continueously adapt to stressful circmstances.

In a way, evolution is a random process but the randomness seems to have a purposeful destnation.

We shall later see the views expressed by Swami Vijnananand when he guided to the young seekers of Manashakti Ashram in 1990 on the direction of the research needed to find the truth behind the process of evolution. But here one may take a note that Mind's role in evolution has to be considered as "pure materialistic attitude" is not acceptable to the conventional scientists too!
